ZORBA THE GREEK BOOK (NEW EDITION) - NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS

The book "Life and Times of Alexis Zorbas" is one of the most famous works of Nikos Kazantzakis which receives the 1954 award for the best foreign novel published in France and among the 100 best books of all time according to the report compiled in 2002 by the Norwegian Book Club. The plot of the play takes place in Crete whilst respectively the real George Zorbas transformed the fictional person of Alexis Zorbas. In Crete, settling in the hotel of Madame Hortense, an impoverished santezas, who soon becomes his lover Zorbas, one of the many women in his turbulent life.
